Our Ethos

First off, let’s be clear – we want you to succeed.

It's not about us winning an award. It's about you growing your business.

Despite the pretty pictures, the frothy coffees, and so on, at our heart, we’re a commercially-focused team producing and delivering PR and communications campaigns that create real momentum and real results.

We employ a Message First approach.

Sure, a beautiful logo is a wonderful thing – but when it really matters, people want to know what your business truly stands for and what makes you different.

What that really means is that we don't disappear after one campaign. Instead, we’re here to stay the course – becoming trusted advisors to your senior team.

Our Process

There is no off-the-shelf solution or quick fix.

We take the time to understand your commercial model and approach and to get to grips with what makes you and your team tick.

Born out of a genuine curiosity in everything that you as a business deliver, we undertake an impartial analysis of you and your company and we’ll challenge your thinking in order to develop fully integrated, results driven, campaigns.

It’s a process that enables us to solve complex communications problems for you and your business and that provides a campaign catalyst for influence, engagement and activation.

But it’s not all airy fairy.  For, behind all of this is the cast iron reassurance and recognition that we’ll match this level of strategic thinking, with some excellent, focused deliverables.

For us, it’s this constant balancing act between strategic thinking and tactical execution that lies at the heart of everything that we deliver.

It’s also something best summed up in our 7-point guarantee. Following campaign go-live you'll receive:

  1. A media audit of your business
  2. A Messaging Workshop within the first 30 days
  3. A dedicated account team to work directly on your business
  4. Regular account status calls, typically every 14 to 28 days
  5. Digital copies of your campaign coverage, every 90 days
  6. A full campaign evaluation and review every 365 days
  7. Delivery against our Key Performance Indicators (KPI) each & every month

Our people

We are an enthusiastic and passionate group of individuals that take pride in the advice and counsel that we deliver. We’ve also been told that we’re just a little bit fun to work with– but you’ll have to decide whether that’s the case for yourself!

Our History

Founded by Adam, we first opened our doors for business in 2011, after he completed a ten-year stint working in corporate communications and investor relations in the City.  By all accounts it had been a fun ride but it was time for a change.

For Adam, that change meant taking a more sector specific, specialist approach - developing deeper roots in a number of fast growth international energy markets.

Back then, he had some early experience of working with a number of businesses in the renewable energy space.  The market was young (he maintains that relatively speaking, it still is!) and the potential for development – in every sense – was huge.

So Adam left a well-paying City job to start something new.  That something was Tamarindo.

Back when we started Adam also established, invested in and built the exclusive finance and investor community known as A Word About Wind.

Building the platform, from scratch, taught him a thing or two or about the true state of renewable energy investment – it also built some trusted relationships along the way.  These days the business is a standalone company that forms a core part of our parent company, The Tamarindo Group.

And what’s in the name?  Well, immediately following his departure, Adam got chucked on gardening leave.  As a result, he did what any sane person would do and headed out to Costa Rica, to see out his non-compete clause and chew things over.  The place he settled into – and where the real idea for the business was born – was a town called Tamarindo.

Years on – and with an established, ambitious and growing team –  he rattles out that same story to every new recruit and assures us all that one day, we’ll pay the place a visit.

We wait in hope…
